To kick off this momentous occasion, we've got a sweet and simply elegant Seattle wedding shot by Bellingham photographer Photos for the People. Soft and subtle details and colors are the hallmark of this affair. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
"The wedding took place on a typical overcast Pacific Northwest day in Seattle. Rain was a threat during the day which we prayed would not happen. I had a second photographer covering the girls getting ready and I was with the guys. Afterwards we started up formals at Magnuson Park, which is an old military base on Lake Washington. It started drizzling lightly and was in the 40s as we started the first look photos on the boat dock. I asked if they wanted to continue on to the offshore for couple formals and they were totally up for it. The rain tapered off and we were able to finish up formals at the park.
Afterwards we headed back to City Church on the UW campus for family photos and other pre-ceremony photos. The ceremony went off without a hitch and they started a dessert reception for all the invited at the church.
After that was finished we headed to the beautiful Loft at Russell's in Bothell. There is a high-end restaurant on the bottom floor and this beautiful loft above used for wedding receptions, etc. Food was eaten, toasts were made (even a sing a long to The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air song by the bride and her sister) dancing ensued and the lights faded out. It was definitely one of my favorite weddings so far.
The couple says:
"Our wedding was a dream come true! We could not have asked for or planned for a better day and perfect event. Our photos turned out amazing and we loved the creative eye that Photos for the People had in thinking through and planning our photo session!”
