This dark and lovely Beauty and the Beast-inspired styled shoot has us swooning. Are you going to incorporate any of this into your wedding?
The photographer says:
This beautiful styled shoot was held at Seattle's Shafer Baillie Mansion and was inspired by the original book rather than the Disney animated version of the story.
In the original story, Beauty is actually the youngest child of six children. Her father is a very wealthy merchant who eventually loses his fortune. The merchant and his family are forced to move to the countryside to live a simple life.
Beauty's two older sisters are depicted as two miserable women who constantly whine and express a longing for their former life of luxury. They grow to hate Beauty because of her beauty and willingness to accept their simple life.
When Beauty arrives at the Beast's mansion, she spends her time reading books and taking long walks in the beautiful garden.
She also begins to have a recurrent dream in which a handsome prince beckons her. She wonders who he is and what his connection is to the Beast. Beauty's questions are answered when she learns not to trust appearances.
