Cory and Chad's August 2015 at-home wedding, photographed by Katheryn Moran Photography, is sweet and lovely.
Words From The Bride: We had an amazing day surrounded by our favorite people. Having the wedding in the backyard of our first home made it so personal and special for us. We spent the last 2 years remodeling and landscaping our property in preparation of this day to share with our friends and family. Every decoration was handmade and we were so lucky to have friends and family who baked our favorite desserts and the groom and friends to supply the fish for dinner. Being married by our longtime friend who introduced us made it that much more special. It’s hard to top getting to marry your best friend in your backyard with all your friends and family by your side and then taking them out on Bellingham bay for a beautiful sunset.
The Photographer Says: Cory and Chad were one of my very first 2015 weddings to book and I knew right away after meeting with Cory for the first time that this was going to be a fun, carefree day. These two had been dating for quite some time and were so excited to be prepping their first home together for their big day. They undertook a huge project clearing trees, planting flowers and bushes and grass and demolishing various buildings throughout the backyard of their property all to be sure that it would be really for their big day. Cory and Chad took me out not heir boat to Sucia Island for their engagement session and we spent the afternoon eating lunch, playing in the madrona trees and chasing their dogs around the water. These two are so kind, laid back and fun to be around. It was completely my honor to be a part of this special time for them and to see every one they know come together to help make their day happen!
