We've got our first Real Wedding from this spring, and it's a beauty!
Lana and Cameron's April 4, 2014 wedding at Roche Harbor, photographed by David Clumpner Photography, showcases the best that the island has to offer. We adore Lana's flawlessly elegant traditional look, and can't get enough of the couple's pink table decorations. And that cake? Wow!
The photographer says: Lana originally wanted her wedding to be in Canada, but when the planning proved too challenging, she chose one of the best Northwest venues for her Northwest destination wedding: Roche Harbor Resort. It was a small family affair with about 30 in attendance, but there was no shortage of love and adoration among those present. Though a somewhat risky time of year to hold a wedding in western Washington, we were very fortunate to be given a bright, sunny day in early April!
Lana and her sisters had their hair and makeup done in Roche Harbor's upscale Quarryman Hall while the guys rented a very nice house up on the hill. We did a first look out on the docks in the harbor, then took a tripup to the mausoleum in the forest to use the beautiful columns for some classical portraiture. The ceremony was held in Roche Harbor's historical chapel, which is beautifully placed right on the water. The reception, also held in a waterfront space, featured a wonderful plated dinner, a beautiful three-tiered cake, and a nice ambience to wrap up one of the best days of this couple's lives.
