Photo to Get: A Pre-Ceremony Moment

There's nothing sweeter than the moment a groom sees his wife-to-be on their wedding day. It's even better if it happens pre-ceremony when the couple can sneak away and share that special moment by themselves. Talk to your photographer and ask them for a "first look" photo like the one below. They can help you tweak your wedding day timeline to make room for an enchanting encounter. We promise you won't regret it! Photo by Courtney Bowlden Photography

Something Old

It's easy to incorporate tradition into your wedding day, even if you're having a chic, modern wedding. Just think about the details like your grandmother's pearls, a bit of lace from your mother's gown, heirloom earrings, an antique ring … the options are endless! Here's one way that you can truly make that "something old" your very own:

A piece of vintage lace is an ideal item for your "something old." It's beautiful, delicate and easy to come by - stop in at your local antique dealer and you're bound to find a piece you like. It's also extremely versatile. You can sew it into the lining of your dress, ask your florist to incorporate it into your bouquet and turn it into a headpiece (above - fantastic tutorial at heartbeatsphotoblog.com) or a pair of earrings (cutoutandkeep.net).
