Q & A with Final Take Productions
What do you love about videography?
As a professional videographer and business owner I love being able to call the shots, getting to work with and know my clients, and challenging myself with improving my craft by making beautiful memories for others that will last them a lifetime. The final reward is being referred to friends and family of my clients. I also enjoy the focus, hustle, and physical work-out of getting my shots covered.
What made you get into wedding videography?
I started a video production program in a middle school, and it snowballed into being asked to shoot and edit every kind of life event one can imagine, which in turn led me to make a career shift by starting my own company and being able to grow it into a very successful NW video company.
What is the best part of videoing weddings?
There are so many great aspects of shooting weddings. What I enjoy most is getting to know, team up, and plan with my clients for the big day and then carrying that plan out. I try to follow their wants and preferences, while technically improving and challenging myself to get the really tough creative shots in a respectful manner. The better I shoot, the richer material I have to work with in the editing process.
What is special about your wedding videography?
I really care about each of my wedding clients and the results I deliver by being organized. My work contains the basic elements of what my clients want, yet my goal is to give them much more than what they expected in a timely manner. At Final Take we only take on a reasonable amount of work so the proper amount of time can be applied to creating each wedding video to the highest quality.
What is your favorite wedding moment to capture?
My particular favorite wedding moment to capture is the first look/glance. For the bride and groom this is the release of tension/fulfillment of dreams, the nervous excitement and emotion, in a once in a lifetime shot.
