Capturing the in-between authentic moments of your wedding day. My goal is to deliver photos that not only take you back to your big day, but tell a story and make you feel the emotions again.
Q & A with Meraki Photography
What do you love about photography?
I love that a photo can take you back to, not just a day, but a moment. There is so much beauty in knowing a photo can forever keep a memory alive, even when our memories of the details fade.
What made you get into wedding photography?
I shot my first wedding in 2013 for a friend. I absolutely loved it, but it took a few years before I advertised them. I worked hard to learn how to hone my craft, and really learn to capture authentic emotions and moments. I've stayed in weddings because I love the couples I get to work with, and all the incredible people I get to meet.
What is the best part of photographing weddings?
The food, duh. Just kidding, my favorite part is getting to know the couples, and spending time with their bridal parties. I also love the editing process and get so excited to show a couple their galleries.
What is special about your wedding photography?
I have done enough weddings that I know how to help the day flow, and make sure you just have an amazing time. I'm not afraid to take charge to make sure your dream day goes smoothly. I keep my skin tones natural and creamy, and capture all those sweet in between moments.
What is your favorite wedding moment to capture?
I love capturing the bridal party, because it's a pretty good ab workout from the laughs. My other favorite is stealing the bride and groom away for quick moment when the light is just right. I love giving you a quiet moment to just let it sink in without all the distractions.
