Q & A with V's Barbershop
What is the story behind V’s Barbershop?
The first V's opened in Arizona in 1999. V's got its name from the last name of the man who started it all, Jim Valenzuela. Twelve years later, V's Barbershop opened in Bellingham. We are locally owned and operated. We strive to bring a professional, up scale, old-fashion barbering experience with a welcoming home-town feel to everyone who comes in our door!
Tell us a bit about your services.
We offer an array of services. We can do a straight razor shave on your whole head, a nice fade haircut, or even just a simple mustache trim. We also offer a Big Day Package for grooms and their groomsmen to come in and get pampered.
What is a favorite memory of a groom or groomsmen at V’s Barbershop?
My favorite memories are the ones when a large group comes in and none of them have ever gotten shaves before. They really enjoy the pampering and are always so surprised at how luxurious it is. You can tell they all feel extra special. They get to enjoy one last bit of bonding time together, have a beer and relax.
Explain what you offer for the big day for the groom and/or groomsmen.
We offer a Big Day Package. You and your groomsmen can come in and unwind. You receive a haircut and an old fashion straight razor shave. It includes multiple hot towels, hot lather, top of the line skin care products and includes a complimentary cigar! (We recommend booking at least a week in advance.)
Any wedding advice for the grooms?
Our advice, avoid getting your shave and haircut done the day of your wedding! If you've never gotten a straight razor shave before, you don't know for sure how your skin may react. We want you looking your best and a red face on your wedding day is something we don't want for you! After all, the bride is the one who should be blushing!
