What is the story behind the Majestic Inn?

The Majestic Inn and Spa  is located in the historic McNaught building in downtown Anacortes. It was originally a mercantile, built in 1889 and moved from its original location – on logs – to where it currently sits. It became a hotel in the 1980s and has expanded to include a  30-room second building.

Tell us about the scenery your venue has to offer.

Our buildings offer a variety of different views, including historic downtown Anacortes, and the Cap Sante Marina. We also have special suites that overlook the San Juan Islands, Guemes Channel, and the sunset. Linking the two buildings is our landscaped courtyard which is home to native Washington plants and flowers.

What is special about your venue? 

We believe we offer the best of both worlds with our regal historic building and our modern contemporary building. The décor of the historic building harkens back to its formative 1800s style, with high ceilings, crown molding, and decadent chandeliers. In the contemporary building, we have the town’s only rooftop bar and lounge, offering breathtaking views of Puget Sound and Guemes Channel. The Majestic Inn is unique to Anacortes with its large event ballroom which can host gatherings of up to 200 people. With our  5^th Street Bistro,  the Apothecary Spa that offers daily massage and facial treatments and our seasonal Rooftop Lounge dining experience, we cover your relaxation needs!

What particular amenities do you offer? 

With our in-house restaurant and spa, we offer both fantastic dining and luxurious relaxation conveniently on location. Just outside our doors is downtown’s main street, Commercial Avenue, where many restaurants and boutique shops are just a walk away. We grind organic fair trade coffee fresh for all of our hotel guests daily. The Majestic has a brand new amenity that we are excited about: our Tesla charger is free for hotel guests and may be used by the public by reservation. 

What is your favorite wedding moment at the Majestic Inn? 

We enjoy exceeding any and all expectations for weddings and events. We cherish being a part of the special moments in life that bring loved ones together in celebration! We’re lucky to have not only a gorgeous venue space, but 52 rooms to host all of the families and friends.
