Q & A with Robin Hood Village Resort
Tell us the story behind the Robin Hood Village Resort.
Robin Hood Village Resort came into being in 1934. The set designer for the original Robin Hood Movie, Don Beckman, envisioned a quaint romantic getaway on the Hood Canal. Located in Union Washington on the “Golden Mile,” Robin Hood Village Resort continues with Mr. Beckman’s vision. The restaurant and pub as well as two cottages still exist as part of the original location. In addition to the original cottages, 14 new cozy and comfortably appointed cottages have been built. Combine the current property with access to Hood Canal and you have the modern version of Don Beckman’s vision.
