What is the story behind rustica ?
Rustica opened in december 2014 in up-and-coming downtown Oak Harbor. The owners are committed to providing a special dining experience to include farm-to-fork food, craft cocktails, local spirits, wine, and beer.
What kind of food do you specialize in?
Rustica serves italian comfort food sourced locally if possible. Alfredos, raviolis, scampis, bologneses are served with organic chicken, wild caught shrimp, or house-made pork meatballs. Penn cove mussels and clams are delivered fresh from less than 10 miles away. Speacialties include limoncello crab ravioli and rustica short-rib lasagna.
What is unique about rustica as a venue?
The décor features reclaimed materials from around the island beautifully crafted by a local artist. Lots of wood and highlights of a reclaimed metal roof are warmly lit with edison bulbs. The bar features a beautiful slab of live-edge, old-growth timber and hammered copper.

Rustica loves parties! We specialize in creating a menu for each guest that will work with your budget, dietary restrictions and vision to ensure that you have the perfect menu for your event.
What is your favorite dish to prepare at weddings?
Our well-known lasagna made with short rib has been our most popular item. However, local wild-caught salmon is also a popular dish. At the request of guests, we are also known for creating a specialty craft cocktail to celebrate.
